FREE PATTERN: A Cosy Scarf Knitting Pattern

Wed, May 10, 17

Designer Laurie Sundstrom is a vintage kind of gal. She's the owner of Vintage Knits, and she spent a year knitting her way through the first volume of Weldon's Practical Needlework, a collection of newsletters from 1880s England, featuring knitting patterns for everyday garments and accessories.

Our version of "everyday" has certainly changed since the 1800s, but Laurie took on the challenge and spent 12 months translating Victorian patterns into modern-day instructions that today's knitters can follow.

One of these projects, A Cosy Scarf (at left), is a gorgeous lace design that anyone would be proud to wear. It's a timeless classic that Laurie brought back to life, and she's generously let us offer this pattern for free.

A Cosy Scarf would be fabulous knit up in Juniper Mood Findley, SweetGeorgia Merino Silk Lace, or any of our lace-weight yarns!

Download your pattern, choose your yarn, and cast on this beautiful scarf. It's perfect for warm-weather knitting.

Cheers,

P.S. For more of Laurie's designs, check out her Ravelry page and Vintage Knits.
