The cold weather has marked the need to knit.  Here are a few ideas that use minimal amounts of yarn and knit up nice and quick.  There is plenty of time to make some great projects for your friends and family!

Alpaca yarn is a dream to work with.  I'm sure it goes without saying but, we love the stuff!  This, Ribbed Watchman's Hat, is a simple to knit hat that would make a great gift, especially when knit up in Cascade Eco Duo Alpaca.

Another great option is the Sky Bound Hat that beautifully showcases the colors of Adriafil Knitcol.  The dyeing has been worked out on an eight-colour thread just right to achieve a real jacquard effect. By simply working with knit and purl stitch, you will get a colored, striped pattern with jacquard elements.

One more great option is the Insta-hat.  I loved knitting this hat so much I am working on another one now!  It knits up so quick and I love the zigzag pattern with the eyelets.  I used Malabrigo Chunky, and couldn't be happier with the outcome.

We would love to see what you are knitting.  You can share with us on our Facebook page or on Instagram using #alpacadirect.  Happy knitting!!
