Let's have some fun at Stitches West 2018!

Are you attending this year's Stitches West event in Santa Clara, February 22nd to 25th?

We're still snowed in up here in Idaho, so we have come up with a fun way to participate since we can't be there with a booth.

This year we're running a "Virtual Contest" where you can win prizes while having fun at Stitches!

We have incredible prizes and it's really easy to enter and participate!

First, be sure to visit the Skacel Booth (309) and pick up a free button to wear during the event and include in your photos!

Then snap some selfies and start earning points toward a prize!

Official Rules

Contest is from Friday 2/23/2018 to Sunday 2/25/2018 midnite

Take a selfie with our yarn suppliers and earn 20 points for each photo!

Each post can be on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram—be sure to include #ILuvAlpacaDirect in the post and #Stitcheswest

Each post should include the button, and ideally you or the person with the button!

  • Skacel (Booth 309)—Easy since that’s where you pick up your button!
  • Malabrigo (Booth 313)
  • Universal Yarn (Booth 209)
  • Baah Yarn (Booth 1540)

Other photos you can post to earn 10 points each:

  • Picture with your favorite yarn
  • Picture of someone wearing an item they created
  • Picture with someone else with an Alpaca Direct button
  • Picture with something made from Alpaca
  • Picture of coolest knitting or crochet gadget
  • Selfie of you in a class
  • Picture of you and someone wearing Fair Isle
  • Picture of someone wearing a hand knit or crochet shawl
  • Picture with a group of 3 or more people wearing the Alpaca Direct button
  • Picture of someone wearing handknit socks

Find Alpaca Direct Ambassadors Edmundo and Jody (they'll have their buttons on Saturday!).  Dr. Edmundo Litton is an avid knitter and weaver who comes from a legacy in fiber production. His family owned one of the largest fiber mills in the Philippines. Jody Moody is an avid spinner and knitter and is also featured in many of our "How To" Youtube videos

Take a selfie with them on the show floor and earn 20 Points each photo posted!

We'll total up all the posts on Monday and award prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place!

Be sure to keep the button for upcoming photo contests!

Here are the prizes:

1st place: $100 Gift Card to AlpacaDirect.com

2nd place: $50 Gift Card to AlpacaDirect.com

3rd place: $25 Gift Card to AlpacaDirect.com

Have fun and start snapping some selfies!

Game on :)
