Tue, Mar 12, 19

I used this super-easy pattern while delving into Cat Bordhi's Moebius Cast On. It's so inventive and addictive!

Here's a quick tutorial on how to cast on for the Moebius Cowl and begin knitting in the round (about 5 minutes).

Beginner's Moebius Cowl Knitting Pattern

Yarn: HiKoo Sueno Worsted Tonal (80% superwash Merino wool, 20% viscose from bamboo; 182 yd [166 m]/3.53 oz]): #153 Jeans Drawer, 1 skein

Needles:  Size 15 US (10 mm): 47″ circular

Gauge: 3 stitches per inch when blocked

    Notions: Stitch Markers; Tapestry needle

    COWL

Cast on 60 (80 Size Large) stitches using the Moebius cast-on technique. Note ** If you count a stitch each time the yarn touches the needle like in the video above, double the numbers.  Cast on 120 (160 Size Large).

    Rounds 1-4: Knit.

    Rounds 5-8: Purl.

    Repeat rounds 1-8 for pattern.

When desired width is reached, bind off using the Icelandic bind-off. Block as desired.
