addi Turbo Rockets have the silky smooth nickel-plated finish that is so well-known on the addi Turbos. If you haven’t tried addi Turbos, they allow the stitches to slide along the needles at incredible speeds, and the join is very smooth (see photo at left).
Some folks may find them a little too slippery, but I am all about speed so these are great for me.
The addi Turbo Rockets have tips almost like the addi Lace and the ChiaoGoo Red Lace, which are more pointed but not so much that they grab the next stitch.
I found that the addi Rocket tips aren't quite as sharp as the addi Lace tips, but they're just right for me. I can knit even faster than normal with these needles; they are super comfortable with a thin flexible cord.
If you need a needle with a little more grab, the Karbonz by Knitter's Pride might be a good choice for you.
I recently compared a few of my favorite circular needles, ChiaoGoo, addi Turbo and Turbo Rockets, and Knitter's Pride Dreamz and Karbonz—here's the result!October 05, 2016
They are awesome needles and perfect for your first pair of socks!
